Finished Project Feelings Blog Post

The group and I feel excited to see the finished product and relieved that filming is finished.  We had issues with finding time to film; however, we had solved this by filming on a three-day weekend when we were all available. There was other problems like figuring out how to edit, but there was many simple tutorials on platforms like YouTube. We had made a couple of minor changes to the script as we were filming, this included changing the scenes order. We did this because we thought it would fit the aspect of the movie. We learned things like how to schedule times, how to properly manage time, and how to edit. This information plays a large role in life. Overall, this project helped me to become improve as a student. The information that we got in class greatly helped us in our creation of the project. We used mise-en-scene, lighting, editing, and shots.

Altogether, we spent a total of 3 hours editing. Joshua was the main editor while we gave him ideas on what should be implemented into the movie opener. We did many additional scene shots due to the first set of shots not turning out how we anticipated it to be. The reshoot went well and was put into the movie opener.

Updated Script and Storyboard Blog Post

Lighting Blog Post

We used 2 separate lighting, low-key lighting during the interrogation scene and high-key lighting during the scene where the detective is getting ready. The low-key lighting signifies a tense and dangerous scene and it helps when trying to build tension. However, the high key lighting signifies a safe or calm area. We did not implement any lighting while editing due to complications on the clips.

Group Dynamics Blog Post

Our filming has gone well. Everyone in the group has pulled their own weight and we all contributed around the same work, with filming, acting, dealing with the lighting, and more. Watching examples of other film openers on Youtube has helped dramatically in the process of making our own film opener. We used these to brainstorm and create our own ideas.
